I went to Berlin with school so I wanted to share some photos on this blog because I had an amazing time there. I'm sharing a few pictures to give you an impression of Berlin, have fun reading! :)
This was in a market hall. I took this picture because i thought it was the cutest little cafe ever. They were selling coffee and cute cupcakes. I did not buy something here though.
Holocaust Memorial. This memorial is for the Jews who died during World War II. It was so special and bizarre to walk there. It was like a maze. This memorial is a 'must visit' if you go to Berlin. It is impressive.
We only walked past by this big building but I thought the architecture was beautiful and i could not resist to 'not' take a picture! I mean, look how beautiful it is. It's the oldest University in Berlin and it was founded in 1810. It goes by the name Humboldt Universität (=Humboldt University).
I also went to Dunkin' Donuts when we had some free time for ourselves. Of course i ate a donut there, unfortunately i didn't like the coffee because the woman who worked there put too many ice cubes in my iced coffee:( At least the picture looks good aha.
I took this picture at the Jewish Museum. It is a tree in the middle of the Museum where you can write down your wishes on a little piece of red/pinkish paper. The tree is called the Emancipation Tree of Wishes. I read a few ones and it made me feel really good. One said: I wish everyone could be who they want to be. It made my heart literally melt, I am not kidding.
I went to the East Side Gallery, the Berlin Mall on the East Side of Berlin. It is a 1.3km section of the Berlin Wall, a memorial for freedom. The East Side Gallery consists of 105 paintings by artists from over the entire world. I could not stop taking pictures there. It is so beautiful.
I hope you liked this post! I also made a video of Berlin go check it out if you want: https://vimeo.com/145747296
